Health and Social Care Integration Chief Officers Update
July 16, 2014 by Linda White No Comments | Category Uncategorized
Chief Officers of the new Integrated Partnership Boards are in the process of being appointed with 23 Chief Officers already in post.
During 2014/15 the Chief Officers will lead the transition arrangements for the integration of health and social care in their area. The legislation is due to be enacted in Spring 2015, however, ‘shadow’ integrated partnership boards are now being established across Scotland. The Chief Officers will lead the shadow arrangements in their area and will ensure that the necessary transitional arrangements are in place to drive the change required to integrate health and social care services.
A Chief Officers Network has been set up and the second meeting of the of the group will take place in August. This group has been brought together to form a network which will enable each of the Chief Officers to learn from each other and to share their progress and experiences.
