New developments to Public Contracts Scotland (PCS)

We have just released new developments to Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) in line with the Scottish Government open contracting strategy.

Information from all notices published on PCS which were already available to download in various formats (HTML, XML and pdf) and were only available on a notice-by-notice basis will now be available in bulk download, and in more formats.

This has delivered four new features:

• The ability for users to download the information from the statistics tab in each buyer profile in CSV and MS Excel
• A dedicated open contracting area, with a link directly from the PCS homepage
• The ability for users to perform bulk downloads of notices, rather than on a one-by-one basis in the following formats – CSV, MS Excel, and XML
• An application programming interface (API) which means that the notice information will be available in machine-readable JSON format.

All of the above are open and available to the public without the need to register on PCS.
